About Me

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. You’ve clicked on this, no doubt, because you wanted to learn a little more about me. Your wish is my command.

Right now, I’m a reporter and fill-in anchor at WISC-TV, the legacy CBS affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.

I’ve had the opportunity to tell stories running the gamut from serious to not-so-serious.

As part of the top-rated “News 3” team, I’ve had the opportunity to lead breaking news coverage; as part of a weekend crew that won a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association award for spot news, I was the primary reporter covering the tragic drive-by shooting of an Illinois mother returning from the Wisconsin Dells, as well as the police shooting in its aftermath.

I’ve also had the privilege of working at a station with a deep commitment to issues-based reporting, something I believe to be more critical than ever. Whether it’s race, economics, government, business, education, health or politics, I thrive on synthesizing complex issues into an easy-to-understand story that leaves the viewer ultimately knowing more at the end of their day.

Some days, though, the news is a little…well…out there. I’ve met an elephant that ran through a neighborhood, interviewed a lottery-winning mayor and, being in Wisconsin, have talked to my fair share of less-than-sober sports fans.

At the end of the day, I love telling a good story and above all, I believe in doing right by my viewers and doing right by those who have entrusted me to share their hopes, fears, accomplishments or challenges. At the end of the day, not much else matters.

Prior to joining WISC-TV, I worked as an anchor and reporter at KOMU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri.

I hold a bachelor’s degree from the world-renowned (and believe me, I don’t let people forget that) Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
